Berkshire Choral International’s Vocal Scholar Program is designed for undergraduate or advanced degree music students with solid singing skills who sing tenor or bass.

All Vocal Scholar Program applicants should submit:

    • a one-page cover letter addressing how participation in the Vocal Scholar Program furthers your educational goals. Successful applicants will be selected to sing in our 2026 Lenox, Beverly, Amherst, or Denver program weeks and will receive free tuition, room, and board, along with a reimbursed travel stipend (up to $800 per program), one free voice lesson per program, and sheet music.
    • a current résumé or synopsis of your musical and educational accomplishments
    • a letter of recommendation from a teacher or music professional
    • an audio or video link of 3 contrasting art songs or arias sung in at least two languages.

All applicants must meet BCI’s current participation policies.

Letters of recommendation should be emailed directly by those who write them to Dr. Sean Taylor, Director of Music, at staylor@berkshirechoral.org.
