Keeping Singers Safe
The safety and well-being of all our participants is our top concern. We work to maintain a healthy singing environment and BCI maintains flexible protocols so that we can respond to current conditions.
What vaccinations are required? We very strongly recommend that you have received the most up-to-date Covid vaccine.
What about masks? Masks are currently optional, but welcome in rehearsal and concert. BCI retains the right to institute required masking if it is deemed necessary based on local conditions.
Covid testing? Our current policy requires that all participants must agree to take a Covid antigen test within 36 hours prior to arrival day and truthfully attest to BCI that the test was negative. No one will be allowed to register on site without providing this attestation. BCI will email you a link to report your test results prior to arrival.
Will there be additional Covid testing? Currently we do not require additional Covid testing during a program, however we reserve the right to require masks in rehearsal or additional on-site testing if the level of community spread is elevated.
What happens if I am ill during the program? Anyone who experiences cold or flu symptoms on site should immediately mask themselves and test. Staff may ask any singer with chronic sneezing or coughing issues to remove themselves from rehearsal in order to protect fellow singers regardless of test results. Singers with a positive Covid test will not be allowed to rehearse or perform and will isolate away from the group. Additionally, BCI is obliged to follow any Covid policies that might be in place at the venues hosting our programs. We will communicate any additional requirements to participants promptly. BCI strongly encourages trip insurance to protect your investment in your trip.
