Dear Choristers,

Here’s a brief update on our Covid planning process as we keep an eye on the current Omicron surge. We continue to move forward with our summer 2022 plans with the expectation that we can provide a great experience while operating carefully in a post-Covid world. 100% of accepted applicants will have met our full vaccination mandate and we are additionally expecting attendees to provide evidence of boosters as soon as they are eligible.

We are holding off on setting additional safety guidelines right now so that we can effectively react to conditions as they evolve closer to the event. We are optimistic that this current surge will diminish in intensity and return to a manageable environment something like what we experienced pre-Omicron. That said, we know there are some common questions you might have.

Testing: we think it is likely we will ask choristers to test prior to arrival as a precaution, but the logistics for that will be worked out later.

Masking: We hope that masking won’t be necessary by next summer but again we will wait and see what each of our four local venues might require.

Cancellation: Should BCI decide that it is necessary to proactively cancel a program due to safety concerns, we will refund tuitions as we did in 2020.

We are so excited to sing again and we will do our best to keep you informed on a timely and transparent basis as we go.
