At its quarterly meeting in April, the BCI Board of Trustees welcomed three new leaders onto the Board. Harold Bingham is a Seattle-based consultant specializing in data protection and privacy issues. In addition to an MBA from Northeastern, he was an undergraduate voice performance major and is a certified sommelier. Jonathan Hirsh received his DMA in conducting from the University of Michigan and serves as Director of Orchestral and Choral Activities at Smith College in addition to an active roster of guest engagements. Catherine Peterson is Executive Director of ArtsBoston, Greater Boston’s largest arts service organization, a former Vice President at Columbia Artists Management, and a past Board chair of Chorus America.
In addition, Holly Wolff was elected as the new Chair of the Board. A 10+ year alumni of BCI, she is a retired partner at IBM with a rich history of community board service. Joining her as officers are Constance Kane, Vice Chair; Cynthia Crose, Treasurer; Dorothy Phillips, Secretary; and Alison Vareika, At Large. Board member Peter Sargent, who most recently served as Chair, retired after 10 years of service with the organization with the gratitude of his colleagues.
